Lemon Meltaway Cookies Recipe

This makes a batch of old-fashioned cookies that taste like spring.

Bonus – a tangy sweet lemon glaze that melts in your mouth.

Cookie and glaze uses unsalted butter, sugar, egg, lemon zest and juice, baking powder, salt, flour.

Preheat the oven. In the bowl combine all the ingredients. Mix thoroughly.


Use a tablespoon to measure out the dough. Carefully flatten the ball into a disc shape.


Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake.


Allow to cool completely before finishing with the glaze.


When ready to assemble, make the glaze.


Drizzle the glaze over the cookies or dip them in it.
