Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set it aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Add the egg and mix until smooth.
  • Add the flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Stir until combined.
  • Press the dough into an even layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping evenly over the dough.
  • Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the middle no longer looks gooey.
  • Cool slightly, slice into bars and store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

Double the batch for a 9x13 pan.
